The Kern Schools Federal Credit Union Administration Building located in Bakersfield, Calif., is LEED®-certified and uses packaged VAV units, an energy management system tied to a carbon dioxide monitoring system, and an electronic system that prevents the need for biocides. The electrical energy use is 50% that of a similar building nearby.
