The standards and other regulatory documents that Accuris offers are often updated after publication. These updates include errata (known issues to be addressed in the next version), corrigenda (errors or mistakes identified after publication), or amendments (additional information not included in the original document).

When you purchase a document from the Accuris store, you may select whether to buy only the base document or a complete document package that includes all errata, corrigenda, and amendments available for that document at the time of purchase. It does not grant access to errata, corrigenda, or amendments that may be published after the purchase date.

Full Description

This test method covers the determination of percent recovery and non-recoverable creep compliance of asphalt binders by means of the Multiple Stress Creep Recovery (MSCR) test. The MSCR test is conducted using the Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR) at a specified temperature. It is intended for use with residue from T 240 (Rolling Thin-Film Oven Test (RTFOT)). The test method may also be run on residue from R 28 (Pressurized Aging Vessel (PAV)).

Note 1 - The majority of the development work on this test method was performed on material conditioned according to T 240 (RTFO). The test may be run on unaged binder or on residue from R 28 (Pressure Aging Vessel). However, the performance relationship of results from aging conditions other than T 240 are yet to be developed.

The percent recovery value is intended to provide a means for determining the elastic response and stress dependence of polymer modified and unmodified asphalt binders. See more
