Specifies the essential health and safety requirements for water heaters connected to potable water supplies. In this issue, changes have been made to the requirements for the materials in contact with potable water which reflect recent changes to MP 52, Manual of authorization procedures for plumbing and drainage products. Other changes include the removal of the need for double wall separation in heat exchange water heaters in line with similar changes to AS 3500.1 National Plumbing and Drainage Code, Part 1: Water supply and alteration to the testing pressures for low-pressure containers to bring them in line with other testing pressures.
