It covers both fixed and portable amusement rides and devices, excluding transit equipment used in snowfields. It introduces a classification for these devices, covers various areas of design and various types of devices, including aquatic devices, and introduces a logbook. Eight appendices cover inter alia, safety rules for operators, a guide to non-destructive testing of critical components, and a list of State statutory authorities relevant to the registering of such devices.
