Applies to a.c. and d.c. contactors and a.c. motor-starters whose main contacts are intended to be connected to circuits, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1000 volt a.c. or 1500 volt d.c. Specifies requirements for contactors associated with overload or short-circuit protective devices, starters associated with short-circuit and integrated overload protective devices and contactors or starters combined with their own short-circuit protective devices. This Standard is technically equivalent to and reproduced from IEC 947-4-1:1990. See more
