ASSE (Plumbing) 5000-2015 Historical

The ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 5000-2015 establishes minimum requirements for backflow prevention assembly testers, cross-connection control surveyors, backflow prevention assembly repairers, fire protection system cross-connection control testers, and backflow prevention program administrators.

The 2015 edition of the Series 5000 has added Standard #5063, Minimum Performance Requirements for Testing Air Valve and Vent Inflow Preventers, and updated, expanded vocabulary and definitions.

ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 5000-2015 includes professional qualifications standards for the following individuals:

• 5110 - Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers
• 5120 - Cross-Connection Control Surveyors
• 5130 - Backflow Prevention Assembly Repairers
• 5140 - Fire Protection System Cross-Connection Control Testers
• 5150 - Backflow Prevention Program Administrators

ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 5000-2015 establishes minimum performance requirements for testing the following assemblies:

• 1013 - Reduced Pressure Principle Backflow Preventers (RP) and Reduced Pressure Principle Fire Protection Backflow Preventers (RPF)
• 1015 - Double Check Backflow Prevention Assemblies (DC) and Double Check Fire Protection Backflow Prevention Assemblies (DCF)
• 1020 - Pressure Vacuum Breaker Assemblies (PVB)
• 1047 - Reduced Pressure Detector Fire Protection Backflow Prevention Assemblies (RPDF)
