In 1989 the Lower Colorado River Authority undertook an ultra low volume toilets demonstration project in two public housing projects. Statistics on use before and after installation of the ULVs were conducted. Advantages and disadvantages of using performing demonstration projects in public housing are listed and briefly discussed. Two significant findings are: a high degree of customer acceptance and, even in older housing stock, no problems were documented. See more
