A joint effort between European and American researchers in the development of a modern information system for water utility system is described in this paper. The water company EPAL for the city of Lisbon in Portugal is partially sponsoring the current phase of the development. The paper first outlines the information system objectives, followed with a brief description of the organization in EPAL. An object-oriented approach in the system analysis and modeling of the developing system is then explained. See more
