Applies to large direct fired generators, primarily of the water tube type, fired by solid, liquid or gaseous fuel or a combination. Procedure for determination of heat output by direct measurement, and thermal efficiency by complete balance or determination of loss, which may be expressed in either case in terms of net or gross calorific value of the fuel. Performance of the draught plant and pulverizers, and steam purity. Gives a standard form of test report. See more
