Electric lamps for pedal cycles. Colour of light, intensity at various angles, switch performance, resistance to vibration, corrosion, dust, oil, the penetration of moisture. For battery lamps, period for maintenance of luminous intensity from the same battery. Apparatus for making photometric measurements, combinations of filament lamps and batteries known to meet requirements when used with a suitable optical system.
