Relates to requirements for industrial, medical and pharmaceutical fields to provide controlled environments, suitable for the particular conditions required in manufacture, processing and assembly and in surgery and nursing. Four classes of cleanliness designated according to the degree of control of airborne particulate matter present. Terminology, definitions, tests and other requirements essential to ensure quality, efficiency and interchangeability.
