This standard states physical and chemical properties and provides performance requirements for a special-purpose liquid detergent compound for use in the removal of water-emulsion polish from flooring.

Material produced in accordance with this standard is intended for removing water-emulsion polish films from floors. It may be used in both soft and hard water areas. It should not be used for general maintenance, i.e. damp mopping. It should not be used on wood floors unless they have been properly sealed.

The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
