This standard specifies the code for the ready identification of the contents of portable medical gas containers and pipelines by name, symbols and colours, and for the ready identification of valve outlets by a non-interchangeable system. Color coding requirements do not apply to liquid oxygen systems for home care use or bulk gas carriers and/or containers.
