This standard applies to two types of petroleum distillate intended for use in appliances requiring naphtha type fuel.

The two grades, Type 1 and Type 2, differ in their end use. Type 1 is suitable for use in catalytic and pressure appliances. Type 2 is suitable for use in pressure appliances; it is not suitable for use in catalytic appliances.
