1. Scope

General The CSA B140 Series of Standards for Oil Burning Equipment state the essential requirements and minimum standards for the design and construction of oil burning equipment.

Scope of this Standard This Standard, B140.0, covers requirements for construction, marking, instructions, and tests of a general nature that are applicable to all or several of the individual Standards in the B140 Series.

1.3

Scope of the Individual B140 Standards Each of the other Standards in the B140 Series covers construction requirements, marking, instructions, and the detailed testing procedures for a single classification or a closely related group of oil burning equipment.

1.4

Application Devices or products that comply with the CSA B140 Series of Standards shall not necessarily be acceptable if they have additional features which, when examined and tested, are found to reduce the degree of protection provided by the Standards. See more
