1. Scope This clause of Part 1 is applicable except as follows;
1.1 Replacement: This standard applies to electrically operated commercial ki tchen machines not intended for household use. Examples of kitchen machines are: - mixers; - blenders for liquids; - blenders for food; - kneaders; - beaters; - shredders; - graters; - mincers; - slicers; - peelers; - tin openers; - coffee grinders; - machines used for washing food; - portioning machines; - food processors. This standard also applies to appliances which, in order to facilitate transport, are supplied in several parts (sub- assemblies) which, when assembled at the place of installation, form a constructional unit without the use of any additional parts. The electrical part of appliances making use of other forms of energy is also within the scope of this standard.
