CSA Preface 

This is the first edition of CSA ISO 10017, Quality management - Guidance on statistical techniques for ISO 9001:2015, which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 10017 (first edition, 2021-07). It replaces CAN/CSA-ISO/TR 10017:03 (adopted ISO/TR 10017:2003), Guidance on statistical techniques for ISO 9001:2000. For brevity, this Standard will be referred to as "CSA ISO 10017" throughout. Standards development within the Quality Management sector is harmonized with International Standards development. This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. 

Scope 

This document gives guidelines for the selection of appropriate statistical techniques that can be useful to an organization, irrespective of size or complexity, in developing, implementing, maintaining and improving a quality management system in conformity with ISO 9001:2015. This document does not provide guidance on how to use the statistical techniques.
