This is the first edition of CSA Standard CAN/CSA-S269,3, Concrete Formwork. It is written in SI (metric) units. Appendix A also sets out concrete pressure criteria and formuiae in irnperiaf units.

It is the third in a series of falsework, access, and temporary structures Standards for construction-related work.
This Standard has been developed to accommodate formwork design using either working stress or limit states design concepts. Where other Standards are referenced, users should en5ure they are applying criteria properly for the design concept they are using.
This Standard was prepared by the Technical Committee on Scaffolding for Construction Purposes under the jurisdiction of the Standards Steering Committee on Structures (Design) and was formally approved by these Committees. It has been approved as a National Standard by the
Standards Council of Canada.
