Scope

A165.1-1.1

This Standard applies to concrete masonry units made from Portland cement, water, and aggregates, with or without the inclusion of other materials as defined. Note: This Standard does not apply to concrete brick masonry units. For such units refer to CSA Standard A165.2.

A165.2-1.1

This Standard applies to concrete building brick and similar solid units manufactured from a mixture of Portland cement, water, and suitable aggregates with or without the inclusion of other materials. Note: This Standard does not apply to concrete masonry units.

For such units refer to CSA Standard A165.1.

A165.3-1.1

This Standard applies to concrete masonry units having integral facings on one or two sides in gloss, semigloss, or matte finish.

The surfaces exposed to view shall be covered at the point of manufacture with a binder and inert filler or cement. See more
