Scope

1.1 This Standard sets out the requirements for fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite crossarms for use on overhead electrical systems.

1.2 FRP composite crossarms are used with connecting hardware and are part of a structure supporting overhead conductors and insulators that includes poles, guys, and anchors. This Standard specifies requirements for the FRP composite crossarm and does not address the overall structure as a system.
