1. Scope

1.1

This Standard applies to self-contained vending machines designed to be installed and used in commercial applications in nonhazardous locations in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.

1.2

This Standard applies to both refrigerated and nonrefrigerated vending machines rated 250 V or less, single-phase.

1.3

This Standard applies to vending machines designed for indoor or outdoor use.

1.4

This Standard also applies to self-contained coin, currency, or credit mechanisms, rated at not more than 250 V, single-phase, intended to be factory- or field-installed in vending machines. See more
