1. Scope

1.1

This Standard describes general requirements, apparatus, and test methods to be used in carrying out applicable tests and calculations required for rigid nonmetallic conduits, elbows, bends, and associated fittings required by the various rigid nonmetallic conduit standards of Part II of the Canadian Electrical Code.

1.2

The various types of rigid nonmetallic conduits are as follows: (a) rigid PVC conduit for direct burial and for masonry and conc rete encasement as given in CSA Standard C22.2 No. 211.1; (b) rigid PVC (unplasticized) conduit as given in CSA Standard C22.2 No. 211.2; (c) rigid fibreglass reinforced epoxy conduit and associated fittings as given in CSA Standard C22.2 No. 211.3.
