The Deep Decarbonization Redesign project of two large commercial office buildings in south San Francisco, Calif., aimed to reduce natural gas consumption in large existing buildings focusing on heating hot water (HHW) systems. The project was one of the earliest implementations of ASHRAE Guideline 36 HHW controls since 2021, when those measures were adopted after the publication of the guideline. See more
