This International Standard defines terms relating to the masses of three-wheeled mopeds and motorcycles as defined in ISO 3833.

It does not apply to

• road vehicles which are controlled by a pedestrian;
• road vehicles designed for the exclusive use of handicapped persons;
• tractors for agriculture or forestry;
• contractors' plant or equipment;
• earth-moving equipment.

This International Standard does not deal with measurement methods nor with the units used in reporting results, nor with the accuracy required or the order of magnitude of the masses defined.
