The research concerns itself primarily with the experimental aspect of the thermal radiative properties of glass. In the course of the study, the theoretical prediction was also found to be reliable to generate data well within the error limit of the experiment. For this reason, both theoretical and experimental studies were carried out and their results compared for assessment of their utility.

The report consists of two volumes; the first volume presents theoretical and experimental results, the second volume is a compilation of computer print-out of theoretical predictions.
