UV disinfection played an important role as part of a layered strategy for addressing airborne and surface contamination during the COVID-19 pandemic. Applying UV disinfection to air and surfaces within the HVAC system, duct work, and occupied spaces should not only be reserved for pandemic preparedness but also a best practices strategy for improved sanitized spaces and better IAQ for building occupants.
