In the recent discussion involving low-greenhouse-gas-emission refrigeration, one viable candidate is always missing: thermoacoustic refrigeration. In this seminar, a review of thermoacoustic development in the past is presented to explain why thermoacoustic refrigeration is a viable option for environmentally friendly refrigeration.
