ASHRAE’s involvement with the U.S. Green BuildingCouncil (USGBC) formally began in June 2002 whenthe ASHRAE Board of Directors and the USGBCBoard of Directors approved the Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) between the two organizations. This MOUestablished a Joint Steering Committee, composed of one dues-payingmember and one staff member from each organization.The Joint Steering Committee usually meets semiannually tocoordinate joint activities.
