For a research laboratory retrofit in Illinois, fivemajor AHUs and eight smaller ones were replaced and consolidated with twocentral dual-path (outside and return air), low-velocity AHUs. Sixty labexhaust fans were replaced with three high-plume fans with dedicated outdoorair systems and heat pipe heat recovery. The new systems will save $574,350 ayear in utility costs. See more
