Full Description

Prepare rapid intervention crews (RIC) for effective fire fighter rescue with the 2015 NFPA 1407. 

Refer to the all-new 2015 NFPA 1407: Standard for Training Fire Service Rapid Intervention Crews to develop a highly disciplined operational capability to rescue fire fighters who become lost, injured, trapped, incapacitated, or disoriented in the course of an emergency scene or training operation. Requirements are consistent with NFPA 1710: Standard for the Organization and Deployment of Fire Suppression Operations, Emergency Medical Operations, and Special Operations to the Public by Career Fire Departments; NFPA 1720: Standard for the Organization and Deployment of Fire Suppression Operations, Emergency Medical Operations, and Special Operations to the Public by Volunteer Fire Departments; and NFPA 1500: Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety and Health Program. 

NFPA 1407 includes definitions and training requirements for Emergency Breathing Safety System (EBSS)/Buddy Breather that was approved for use by NIOSH for the 2013 Edition SCBA's per NFPA 1981: Standard on Open-Circuit Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) for Emergency Services.
