The standards and other regulatory documents that Accuris offers are often updated after publication. These updates include errata (known issues to be addressed in the next version), corrigenda (errors or mistakes identified after publication), or amendments (additional information not included in the original document).

When you purchase a document from the Accuris store, you may select whether to buy only the base document or a complete document package that includes all errata, corrigenda, and amendments available for that document at the time of purchase. It does not grant access to errata, corrigenda, or amendments that may be published after the purchase date.

Full Description

Scope

This standard specifies the data format that shall be used for both required and optional data available at the output of radiation measurement instruments that are used for homeland security applications. The performance requirements for these types of radiation measurement instruments are described in other standards such as ANSI N42.32, ANSI N42.33, ANSI N42.34, ANSI N42.35, ANSI N42.38, ANSI N42.43, ANSI N42.48, ANSI N42.49A, and ANSI N42.53. The output consists of measurement data and results of any analysis performed by the radiation measurement instrument. This standard does not address instrument control, data transmission protocols, or the physical media used for communications.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to provide a uniform format for data to be output from radiation measurement instruments for use in homeland security applications. This enables interpretation of data without reference to manufacturer's documentation.

Abstract

Revision Standard - Active. The data format to be used for both required and optional data to be made available by radiation measurement instruments for homeland security applications is specified. The performance for these types of instruments is described in other standards, such as ANSI N42.32, ANSI N42.33, ANSI N42.34, ANSI N42.35, ANSI N42.38, ANSI N42.43, ANSI N42.48, ANSI N42.49A, and ANSI N42.53.
